A purpose conveying world, scenes, line by lines. Within the search for inspiration through imagery and dance, the imagery also conveys meaning to a shot by shot film. 

I have to admit, when I first got into this project, I didn’t know what I needed to do to convey the right things to produce such a film. I had goals, aspirations, ambition to make this beautiful inside and out, but through this, I needed help understanding how to exactly convey it to a cinematographer.

Movement creates life. 

That’s how the story goes. Movement is another form of expression which requires people to feel through vision, through seeing someone’s limbs swaying and making interesting compositions through the lenses of the eyes. Dance is an art form that encompasses the way the body moves, anatomy, and music, rhythm. An harmony of multiple things that create beautiful imagery. 

In the beginning, I had a set of inspiration images from other sources that created my vision. The surreal depiction of emotions, transcending through time, intertwined with multiple waves of emotions.

SILHOUETTE AND FASHION FORM | Heal Through Time Journal

Fashion is a form of expression. 

This common phrase notates that fashion, just like any art form, serves as an expression of either oneself or a whole entity, a statement for individual expression or cultural and political movements. This is especially true for those who study it, love it, are obsessed with it. My favorite thing about fashion, especially designing with a more minimalist perspective, has often been the shape and form. I’m obsessed with fabric choices that leads to different silhouette types, and would rather prefer a boxy shape rather than a linear line on a body form.

Imagery is a way which most creatives use as inspiration for their project; 

however, branching away and into the side of video, not only are image inspirations important, movement is also very relevant to the way a video is portrayed and the stylistic needs to carry out a story.
